Kari Luukkonen
Kari Luukkonen holds a B.Sc. in Papermaking Technology from the Tampere Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Turku School of Economy. He began his career at Kemira Chemicals Finland as a Product Manager (1986-1989) before moving to Raisio Chemicals, where he held various management roles across Finland, the USA, Belgium, the UK, and Canada, ultimately serving as Vice President of the Specialty Chemicals Division (1989-2004).
Kari then became Managing Director of Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Korea (2004-2005) before joining Finetex EnE as Director of Sales for Filtration and Technical Textiles (2005-2018). Since 2018, he has been the Business Development Director for Filtration at Fibertex Nonwovens A/S. Kari is also an innovator with four published patents related to strength additives and hydrophobic agents for paper and board, alongside pending patents in nanofiber filtration materials.
